Ohio NATS
Chapter Meeting
The University of Toledo
October 19, 2019
-
President Tim Culver called the meeting to order
-
Thank you to Jane Atwood for hosting!
-
Thank you to Vice President Beth Cram Porter for coordinating this year’s auditions
-
The membership is 154.
-
Tracy gave the Treasurer’s report – treasury is healthy, but we lose a lot of money throughout the year, especially through auditions.
-
Consider raising teacher registration and/or student registration to $25
-
Laurie Lashbrook moved to raise lunch $ to $25
-
Motion to raise student registration fee to $25
-
Concern regarding the additional cost to the students in addition to travel, lodging, pianist
-
If we raise it, make sure we have a masterclass or similar opportunity for the students’ benefit (Lashbrook)
-
Concern regarding attendance
-
-
(Southern) has visited other Chapters’ auditions and many successfully have masterclasses during audition day
-
(Graber) students spend $5 on Starbucks, so the additional $5 to register isn’t a huge increase
-
Vote: for 26, against 13
